We're just 2 crazy sister's who had crazy parents that named us day's of the week. One of us has been book blogging for over 6 year's. After reading many different books and arguing who's book boyfriend was better. One of us convinced the other to start a book blog called #WhyChoose. Because honestly why does one book boyfriend have to be better than the other? Or why do you only need to have one?

Something About That Boy {Book Review}

Title: Something About That Boy
Author: Lani Lynn Vale
Genre: Young Adult

Book Description:

Banner Spurlock knew the moment that he walked into Kilgore High School and saw Perry Street that life was about to get interesting.

Forced to move due to a problem at home, a problem in the form of his ex-best friend hating him for something that Banner’s father did, Banner doesn’t think very much could improve in his life.

He left his status as king of Benton High School behind and moved to a new school where not only would he have to try out for a new football team and prove himself, but he’d also have to find a place for himself in the hierarchy.

Only, the moment that he arrives, he knows that finding a place for himself won’t be too hard. Especially when his reputation follows him all the way to Kilgore, Texas.
***
Perry Street hates school. She hates her peers—most of them anyway—and she hates her classes. All she wants to do is finish her senior year, graduate, and find a place that will give her a full scholarship so that she doesn’t have to be stuck here forever.

That’s her goal, anyway.

Then she walks into first period, on her first day of her senior year, and sits down. Seconds later, he walks in and changes every single plan she’s ever made.

It isn’t long before Perry starts to fall for the bad boy who doesn’t care who he does and doesn’t impress. The boy makes her heart flutter. The boy makes her want things that she’s never wanted before. Not ever.

The boy brings trouble with him that nearly kills her.

My Review:

So I want to start with I'm a huge fan of Mrs. Vale's, ever since my sister got me hooked on her books. This book is a little different from her other's as this would be considered a Young/Upper Adult book. Look I have No issue with reading Young/Upper Adult books, infact I like to escape to them sometimes when I get bored with books. And look it doesn't hurt that this has smexiness to it.

Here's the thing though I tried to get into this book I really did. There were part's I really liked and some parts I really didn't like. I have to say though as Trance and Viddy {Banner's parents if you didn't know} have alway's been one of my top all time favorite couple's of Mrs. Vale's, I guess I expected more to come from Banner's book than we got.

Let's start with Banner, as just mentioned above and if you didn't realize, Banner is the youngest son of Trance and Viddy. In his Senior year of High School he now finds himself living in Killgore closer to his brother Ford, because of the trouble with his ex-best friend. I thought Banner was sweet, kind, and at times swoonworthy.

Now Perry, ehhh I thought she was alright. Honestly I just kind of found her to be boring. There was nothing really rememberable about her character. Honestly I liked her Dad more than I liked her.

As mentioned above I tried to really enjoy this book and at certain times I did. Also as mentioned above although this book would be considered a Young Adult book, don't think there isn't smexiness thrown in. Here's the thing though I feel as though this book was kind of just hasitly thrown together. It was just kind of all over the place. Also although I liked Banner, I found that I actually liked the Secondary Character's more than Banner and Perry. I found myself being more excited to see Slone and Titus mentioned.

I'm giving this book 4 Stars out of 5!!!
