“We agreed it was just one night.”
“Yeah. We did,” he admitted gruffly. Students were starting to pass by, and Nick swore softly, tugging me with him until we rounded the corner of a building in a secluded area. He backed me up against a giant oak tree. He watched me like I was his prey before he stepped closer. “Maybe, I want another night.” His palms pressed into the trunk on both sides of my head, crowding me in. His chest pressed into mine.
“Another challenge?” I whispered out, fighting the sensations and warmth oozing down to my core. Unfortunately, the bet was still fresh in my mind. I was still not one hundred percent convinced he was telling the truth, and all signs screamed at me to take caution.
“I want you. Period. Yeah, I’m very competitive, and I hate to lose. Call it a challenge, call it whatever you want. But I can’t stop thinking about you.”
I glanced away, feeling the heat of his gaze and my cheeks burned with his admission.
“You can fight this. Reason with yourself about my motives. But you feel it, too. If you didn’t, you wouldn’t be trembling beneath me right now.” He trailed his index finger down my neck. “I can feel your pulse throbbing beneath your skin, Kenzie,” he crooned as he flexed his hips boldly into me, his hardness grazing the front of my jeans that sent a direct hit of pleasure down between my thighs. I bit down on my lip, stifling a gasp. “Your thighs are clenching between us. Which makes me wonder.” His lips traced my ear. “How many times I’d need to grind against you until your legs gave out, and I’d have to carry you back to your dorm room.” He thrust against me again. “And fuck you properly just to see you fall apart again.”
“Nick. Please.” My voice shook, whether out of ecstasy or mercy, I wasn’t sure.
